Converted to bed and breakfast / historic inn leisure lodging in 1987, The Presidents' Quarters pioneered the bed and breakfast development of Historic Savannah, giving guests time for some recreational “time travel.” The Presidents' Quarters changed hands in April 2007. Extensive modernizing renovations were completed in 2007, distinguishing this historic inn with renewed beauty as well as timeless charm.
No fanfare announced the triumphant acquisition (2007) of The Presidents’ Quarters, the small trophy hotel property in the heart of the world-renown Landmark Historic District of Savannah. Showcasing one of the most beautiful panoramic social settings in downtown Savannah, The Presidents' Quarters is acclaimed as an influential place where generals, governors, and industrialists have shaped Savannah and the nation’s history. The two Federal mansions (ca. 1860s) feature 16 guest quarters, named to honor U.S. Presidents who visited Savannah during their terms in office.
