“If you’ve ever seen Savannah heat up when the stars come out. Well, then fellas, come on, you know what I’m talkin’ about.”

So what is he talking about? It’s safe to assume that Tim is talking about the vibrant Savannah nightlife. With numerous bars, clubs, and pubs, Savannah boasts the 16th-best nightlife in the country according to Travel + Leisure. Nightlife options abound in Savannah, but here are 10 of the best local spots to visit, in no particular order.

1. The Pirates’ House – 20 East Broad Street
One of the oldest establishments in the city, The Pirates’ House has been serving seafarers since 1753. This is a great place to start your evening with a delicious meal and a satisfying drink.

2. Savannah Smiles Dueling Pianos Saloon – 314 Williamson Street
The audience is extremely involved in the entertainment, as you will help decide what tunes will be played on the piano. Along with the non-stop live music, you can choose from 50 beers, 250+ liquors, and tasty food.

3. World of Beer – 112 West Broughton Street
Head to World of Beer time and again without ever having to get the same beer twice. At any one time, they might have up to 500 beers in the cooler and 50 on tap.

4. Kevin Barry’s Pub – 117 West River Street
Kevin Barry’s Pub has been in Savannah for more than 30 years, providing both Irish and American cuisine. Enjoy the water view from the balcony and stick around for the nightly live music that begins at 8 p.m.

5. Congress Street Social Club – 411 West Congress Street

6. Jen’s & Friends – 34 Bull Street
Home to more than 300 martinis and 200 beers, Jen’s & Friends provides a unique drink experience.

7. Jazz’d Tapas Bar – 52 Barnard Street
The frequenters say Jazz’d Tapas Bar is “swank, sexy, and sophisticated.” This unique spot is located below street level and features live entertainment six nights a week.

8. The Jinx – 127 West Congress Street
Every night is something different at The Jinx, but whatever it always leads to a great time. Since 2003, The Jinx has been showcasing amazing acts from a variety of genres.

9. Rocks on the Roof – 102 West Bay Street
Rocks on the Roof features tapas-style cuisine and provides amazing views of the Savannah River and historic downtown. You can hear live music five nights a week at this rooftop lounge.

10. The Distillery – 416 West Liberty Street
The Distillery is a family-owned business with 21 craft beers on tap and over 99 bottled beers. In addition, they offer a variety of fresh pub food to complete your experience.
