The 2015 Savannah Book Festival begins on Thursday, February 12 at 6:00 P.M. The first event will be held in Trustees Theater and will open with Janet Evanovich followed by a book signing. The opening address cost $15 per person! SCAD Trustees Theater is located on 216 East Broughton Street, Savannah, GA. This will be the first time ever for Janet Evanovich, New York Times best-selling author of 21 Stephanie Plum mystery novels to appear at the Savannah Book Festival. Not only is this Janet’s first time at the festival, but it is also the first time that the event will be opened by a woman! Don’t miss out on this evening of mystery and intrigue!
On Friday at 6:00 P.M., come out to hear from P. J. O’Rourke, one of our nation’s keenest cultural commentators. Tickets, which cost $15 per person, go on sale to the general public on January 10, 2015. Click here! If you have ever listened to NPR’s ‘Wait! Wait, Don’t Tell Me!’ you have heard the biting wit of O’Rourke! For a night of laughs and good company, attend this wonderful event! After listening to O’Rourke’s thought provoking humor, attend the book signing following the address.
The third day of the Savannah Book Festival is packed full of fantastic events! Starting at 9:00 A.M. and continuing to 5:00 P.M. Telfair, Wright, and Chippewa Squares will be featuring numerous events. Make your way to Jepson Museum and Trinity United Methodist Church located on Telfair Square for author signings and book sales. Guests can also purchase refreshments! The Lutheran Church of the Ascension Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, located on Wright Square, and the First Baptist Church Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, located on Chippewa Square, will both feature author signings and book sales! To complete the wonderful four-day festival, Anne and Christopher Rice will perform the closing address at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday. The address will take place in Trustees Theater and costs $15 per person!
