1. Savannah’s Squares

The city of Savannah boasts 22 squares, each unique in its on way. These squares are one of the defining features of the city. Many of them are surround by stunning 19th century mansions and feature plenty of green space, oak trees, and benches. You will find the city’s most famous monuments in the squares. Chippewa Square includes the marvelous statue of Oglethorpe. A grand 55-foot Italian marble bronze monument of General Count Casmir Pulaski is located in Monterey Square. Take time to visit a few of these beautiful squares while in the area.

2. Olde Pink House

The 18th Georgian mansion that is home to the Olde Pink House is said to have several ghosts haunting it. Whether the legend is true or not, guests to this gorgeous restaurant will be distract by its scrumptious cuisine and cozy ambience. Olde Pink House features southern classics, like crispy scored flounder, fried chicken, and more. Enjoy a meal at this restaurant during your time in Midtown Savannah.

3. Bonaventure Cemetery

A 150-year-old cemetery, Bonaventure is perched on the bluff overlooking the Wilmington River. Beautiful and haunting, the cemetery is the final resting place for many famous locals. Among them is lyricist Johnny Mercer and poet Conrad Aiken. Guests will find stunning monuments, grand burial vaults, and sweeping live oak trees throughout the cemetery. Explore the different gravesites, many of which date back to the mid 19th century. This is well worth your time!

4. River Street

If you are looking to pick up a few souvenirs during your time in Savannah, head to River Street. This beautiful street overlooks the Savannah River, making it the perfect place to stroll in the late afternoon. From fresh peanuts to book stores, there is something new to be found around every corner. The street also holds several interesting art galleries, open-air markets, local restaurants, and numerous special events throughout the year. It is a beautiful street in Midtown Savannah!
