We would like for you to meet Koda. He is just one of the cute and wonderful four-legged guests that have stayed at the Presidents’ Quarters Inn.
We couldn’t help but fall in love with Koda and those he was traveling with! Koda traveled with Mr. and Mrs. William Brokow. What amazing people! Mrs. Brokow is a nurse and Mr. Brokow has a medical condition that causes him to need a motorized chair. Not only does Mrs. Brokow take care of patients all day, she comes home and takes care of her sweet, wonderful husband!
We enjoyed having the Brokow’s stay with us at the Presidents’ Quarters Inn, and we welcome you to visit our pet and family friendly bed and breakfast. Our B&B combines unparalleled amenities with a great location. We can take small animals of 30 pounds and under in our rooms on the first floor, with a $50 non-refundable pet deposit due at check-in.
But we are not the only reason you should bring your furry friend to pet friendly Savannah. There are pet friendly events, attractions and restaurants as well.
This time of year is perfect for the Ghost Talk tour, which shares ghostly stories and legends of Savannah. The meeting place is at the 20-foot statue of John Wesley in Reynold’s Square. They allow quiet, well-behaved dogs as long as they are on a leash.
Old Fort Jackson is another great dog-friendly attraction. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites, and shares a rich colonial and military history. One of only eight such forts in America, Old Fort Jackson is the only historic fort in America that still cannon salutes military vessels as they sail by. When dogs visit Old Fort Jackson, they must be leashed and under their owner’s control at all times.
There are many pet friendly restaurants in Savannah, too! Try the Kayak Kafe on Broughton Street. It offers great food, healthy choices and fresh ingredients. Leashed, friendly dogs are allowed at their outside dining area. Bonna Bella Yacht Club is another excellent pet friendly option. Visitors enjoy the ambiance at this waterside eatery with outside dining available. Leashed, well mannered dogs are allowed at the outer picnic tables. Also check out Vinnie VanGoGo’s for great pizza. It’s located at 317 West Bryan Street, and allows dogs at the outside corner tables. Think “fine dining fast food” that you can take home or have on site. They make their dough fresh every night while you sleep!
If you’d like to do some shopping while you’re here, visit the Savannah Riverfront area. The nine block shopping district is situated along the river and offers nearly 100 shops, boutiques and restaurants. Dogs on leashes are allowed in this area.
Finally, for off-leash dogs you can stop by the Savannah Dog Park. The park is shaded and fenced. It is located in the Starland area at 41st and Drayton St.
With so many options for things to do and see, we encourage you to bring your furry friend to pet friendly Savannah! Book your stay at the Presidents’ Quarters Inn, a historic bed and breakfast. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We are here to help you plan your visit to one of the south’s most beautiful and historic cities.
