Dixieland Cruisers 26th Annual Car Show

It started back in 1987 with 12 members. The Dixieland Cruisers of Savannah Car Club has now grown to more than 198 members and over 100 cars! Here’s a little history… The club was named after the Dixieland Drive-In on Victory Drive to promote interest in various types of special auto activities, create good fellowship and sportsmanship among members and to support charities as a nonprofit organization. In addition to the club’s monthly meeting at Lovezzola’s Pizza, the group goes to car shows on weekends throughout Georgia, the Carolinas and even Florida. SkateFest 2013 at the Civic Center

Lace up your skates and get ready to hit the ice once again in Savannah! From Saturday, December 14, 2013 through Saturday, January 4, 2014, you’ll have the chance to enjoy SkateFest at the Savannah Civic Center. This yearly public ice skating event is one for all ages. It’s alcohol free and family friendly. The event runs daily, except for Christmas Day. Savannah Bridge Run Back Next Month!

“Run, walk or crawl” your way to Savannah for the one and only Enmark Savannah Bridge Run! It’s back next month and set for Saturday, December 7, 2013. The race schedule includes a 5k, 10k, Double Pump and Kid 1/4 mile. Let’s take a closer look at those races. The 5k run/walk starts on Hutchinson Island at 8:15 a.m. Participants will race west towards the Talmadge Memorial Bridge, gaining access to the bridge by the southbound ramp. There’s no pretending it’s an easy feat. You’ll have to conquer a 5.5% grade and 1.4-mile span before exiting onto Oglethorpe Avenue.
