  • First Friday Fireworks on the River
  • Celebrate the end of the week and the start of a new month at the Savannah Riverfront. It runs from 7 to 10 p.m., and is free and open to the public.

  • First Saturday on the River
  • From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., there will be arts, crafts and entetainment on historic River Street. Get in on all the family fun!
  • October 6
  • Loretta Lynn
  • Loretta Lynn will be at the Johnny Mercer Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in pricing.
  • October 4-October 6
  • Oktoberfest on the River
  • Savannah’s Riverfront annual Oktoberfest will let you enjoy a bit of Germany, Savannah-style! There will be a variety of beers, food vendors and wiener-dog races. The fun continues all weekend long with live entertainment and art exhibitors.

  • Hunter Hayes
  • Starting at 7:30 p.m., Hunter Hayes will be at the Savannah Civic Center’s Johnny Mercer Theatre. Tickets are on sale now!
  • October 10-October 13
  • Tybee Island Pirate Fest
  • In its 9th year, the Tybee Island Pirate Fest will offer something for everyone! It kicks off with the Buccaneer Ball at the Crab Shack, then continues all weekend long with festivities. They include a Pirate Victory parade, live entertainment, a costume contest and children’s activities. Those range from bounce houses, magicians, storytellers, live pirate demonstrations and face painting.

  • Columbia City Ballet Presents: Dracula
  • Tickets are currently on sale for Dracula,  presented by the Columbia City Ballet at Johnny Mercer Theatre. It begins at 7:30 p.m.
  • October 25-October 27
  • Savannah Speed Classic
  • This unique car racetrack experience will offer an intimate look at the inner workings of racing. You’ll be strapped, full throttle and up close and personal with features like the hot lap ride and pit access.
  • October 26-November 2
  • Savannah Film Festival
  • The Savannah Film Festival is hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design. It features the best in innovative and independent film from around the world. The festival presents the work of award-winning professionals, as well as student filmmakers.
  • October 27
  • Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival
  • This fun-filled day is packed with ethnic Jewish cuisine and entertainment. Admission is free and it’s open to the public. In its 25th year, the Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival is an integral part of Savannah’s cultural landscape. It’s held in Forsyth Park on the last Sunday of each October, drawing about 10,000 attendees each year.
