Spend a Day at the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival
The Festival started in 1985 as a small community fair. It was run entirely by volunteers and offered local seafood to the people of Richmond Hill. Live music, events, a carnival, and many more seafood vendors were added as the years went on. Today, the Seafood Festival brings in visitors from far and wide.
This year’s festival will be held at J.F. Gregory Park from October 14 – 16, 2016. Here are some of the things you’ll see there.
Shrimp, lobster, and crab, oh my! There are plenty of delicious dishes to try at the festival, and they’re all cooked in a variety of ways. From low country boils to fried fare, there’s truly something for everyone. Wash your meal down with a glass of wine or bottle of beer and you’re ready for dessert! We suggest trying the Kettle Corn and Peach Cobbler cooked by the Boy Scouts. You can thank us later!
