5 of the Best Old Savannah Tours

1. Historic Overview

Short on time? Hop on the 90-minute Historic Overview Tour for a narrated sightseeing tour of Savannah. Your guide will take you through more than 270 years of American history in one of the largest National Urban Historic Landmarked Districts in the country! You’ll ride along cobblestone streets and experience the moss-draped oaks, stately mansions, and beautiful squares that have made Savannah famous. The Historic Overview Tour departs daily at 9 a.m. and every 15-20 minutes thereafter until 4:30 p.m.

2. Savannah Experience Tour

The Savannah Experience Tour is the most comprehensive sightseeing tour offered in Georgia’s First City. This non-stop, three-hour excursion tours all the familiar sites and haunts of the historic district and even explores a few “forgotten” neighborhoods. You’ll discover the Victorian District, the Thomas Square neighborhood, the Beech Institute area, and Victory Drive. It’s the perfect tour for any history buff!

3. Historic On & Off Tour

The most popular tour is the Historic On & Off Tour, where you can explore as much of Savannah as you can fit into a day. It’s an expanded version of the Overview Tour and can last for 90 minutes or all afternoon – the choice is yours!

4. Trolley Tales of Historic Haunts

Did you know that Savannah is one of the most haunted cities in America? Visitors can journey to the dark side on the Trolley Tales of Historic Haunts Tour. You’ll take a two-hour ride to some of Savannah’s most haunted spots, including the Rum Cellar at the Pirates’ House and the Telfair Academy. Read our blog about Savannah ghost tours for details.

5. Land & Sea Tour

Experience the best of both worlds on the Land & Sea Tour! Guests can board the Savannah River Queen paddleboat for a relaxing and enjoyable cruise down Savannah’s picturesque waterway. You’ll also enjoy an on-land trolley tour either before or after your river cruise. It’s a winning combination!
