Experience the Savannah Rock N Roll Marathon

2017 marks the seventh anniversary of the Savannah Rock N Roll Marathon. With a full marathon, two half marathons, a 5K, and a one-mile race, this event truly has something for everyone. More than 14,000 runners and walkers are slated to participate this year, and more than 10,000 of those are competing in the half marathon alone. You can view the full event schedule online.

The Course

Saturday, November 4th kicks off with a bang as the marathon, half marathon, and two-person half marathon begin. Runners take their mark on the corner of Bay and Bull Streets and wind through downtown Savannah to the finish line in Forsyth Park. Along the way, you’ll pass the city’s charming town squares, historic buildings, and oak trees covered in Spanish moss. Be sure to view a course map before you go.

Worried about the weather? We’ve got you covered. Nestled along Georgia’s Atlantic coastline, Savannah typically sees far milder and drier weather in the fall than in the summer. On the day of the race, the average low is 50ºF and the average high is 73ºF.

Like most races, the Savannah Rock N Roll Marathon offers live entertainment after the event. But what make this marathon unique is the music on the course! You’ll find a local band at every mile marker performing classic rock, funk, punk, blues, and more. It’s the perfect way to keep runners rockin’ from start to finish.

How to Register

Participants can register for the event one of two ways: online or by mail. All registrations submitted by paper entry form will be charged a $15 Green Fee for processing. The registration deadline is September 20, 2017.
